bring on the good times

the summer holidays have started and i have plans for lots of fun activities with the girls – of course they include lots and lots of crafting. luckily (i do need to pay the bills), i received a lot of translation work on their last day of school, so so far i haven’t spent much time with them. yesterday that we busy with friends and today one of my friends took them to see toy story 3...so i haven't heard any complaints of boredom yet. hoping to start with the fun stuff on sunday or monday.

i gave the girls (and ben, he wouldn't be left out) journals so they could write/draw about their holidays. they are going to write (or draw, or stick pictures or mementos in it each evening)....one extra activity a day. yesterday they decorated the covers. will post pictures once they have some fun stuff in them.

i just wanted to proudly announce that both girls did very well at school, and both of them received certificates of excellence (shiraz got two – one for being the best reader in her class).
